center truck console

how to and how should i make a center console for my 99′ Ford Ranger V6 Sport?
i just recently got this truck and it dosent habe bucket seats and not much of a center console. i will be getting new seats to make room for the center console. i want it to look like it was a stock console (if that was what it looked like) it would also be neat to have some way to have my ipod fit into the console. i would also like the armrest to connect all the way across to the bottom of the dash. anyway just a project im going to work on in the near future. any more questions do ask. thanks
Look in a junkyard for the extended cab version of the ranger as some of those have center consoles (and bucket seats), you do not have to do any complicated fabrication and it will be relatively inexpensive (maybe $30-$40). Other wise you will want to start with cardboard and cut sheets represent sides, build it that way first with the cardboard. Then using the cardboard as a template you can cut plywood or something similar, and assemble away.
