1980 dodge d150 2wheel drive short bed rebuild?
i have owned this truck since new it still have the original 318 2barrel carb i just wanting opinions i have done the body work and freshly painted b5 blue and the interior has been completely redone my only thing left to do is the motor and this is the part im wanting everyones opinion on would you rebuild the 318 or go with the 69 440 thats already rebuilt back to stock specks if i go with the 440 i will be droping the auto tranny and replacing it with the 4 speed tranny that came with the motor by the way 440 and tranny is out of 69 super bee car is long gone (sigh)
If you go with the 440/4spd be sure you have everything for the clutch/brake pedal assembly and other assorted clutch linkage. Plus you’ll have to cut a hole in the floorboard so you will need the dust boots. Sounds like a lot of work but it should be a nice ride when done. Just don’t rush the job.
