What does “the dash for the cash” on Ice Road Truckers mean and how much do they get paid to be on the show?
I watch Ice Road Truckers on the History Channel, they talk about “the dash for the cash” what does that pertain to. 2nd do the Truckers featured get paid to be on the show and how much per episode
“Dash for the cash” is simply saying that the drivers aren’t messing around. Truck drivers get paid by the mile for each load they deliver. The more loads, the more money. If the wheels aren’t turning – they aren’t earning.
Rumor is, each featured driver gets $4500 per episode that they are in, but i haven’t seen anyone confirm that. Keep in mind, this inst a “day” of shooting either. The camera men are with them ALL season. Each show is edited from months of footage. They pick the best few runs of the month, and piece together an episode.
Season 5 will feature Lisa Kelly, Hugh and Alex in “Extreme Truckers” (IRT name change), driving in the Himalaya’s (India).
